Trinnov Home Cinema

Trinnov represents one of the most advanced approaches to immersive audio available today. Rather than building a conventional surround processor around fixed hardware, Trinnov created a software-driven platform designed to precisely measure, optimize, remap, and control every loudspeaker and subwoofer in a high-performance theater.

At the heart of the system is Trinnov’s proprietary Optimizer technology, combined with advanced immersive audio decoding, 3D loudspeaker remapping, bass management, and WaveForming™. The result is a platform that can be tailored to everything from a reference media room to an extremely large, fully engineered private cinema.

AltitudeCI

The newest generation of the Trinnov platform, AltitudeCI is designed for modern custom installations and network-based audio systems.

AltitudeCI can be configured from 8 to 32 output channels in two-channel increments, with larger build-to-order configurations available for systems requiring even greater channel counts. It supports analog, AES/EBU and Audio over IP connectivity through Dante® and AES67, allowing the processor to be configured specifically around the needs of the system rather than forcing the system around the processor.

AltitudeCI includes Trinnov Optimizer, WaveForming and Remapping, along with Dolby Atmos, DTS Pro, Auro-3D and IMAX Enhanced decoding. HDMI 2.1 connectivity supports formats up to 4K/120 and 8K/60.

For installations built around digital signal distribution, the AltitudeCI can also connect directly to the Trinnov Amplitude16 through Dante, creating an exceptionally clean and scalable processor-to-amplifier architecture.

Best suited for: modern custom theaters, Audio over IP installations, scalable systems and projects where future expansion is important.

Altitude16

The Altitude16 brings Trinnov’s reference processing platform to systems requiring up to 20 channels of immersive audio processing.

It shares the core processing capabilities and sonic performance of the larger Altitude platform while providing an ideal foundation for many high-performance residential theaters. Eight HDMI 2.1 inputs support 4K/120, 8K/60, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and other current video standards.

For theaters that do not require the enormous channel capability of the Altitude32, the Altitude16 is often the natural starting point into Trinnov’s reference-level architecture.

Best suited for: high-performance dedicated theaters and immersive systems requiring up to 20 processed channels.

Altitude32

The Altitude32 is Trinnov’s reference immersive audio processor and the foundation upon which much of the company’s reputation in ultra-high-performance theater has been built.

Its immense processing capability allows unusually complex speaker layouts, sophisticated bass management, multiple subwoofers, active crossovers and advanced optimization to be handled within a single platform.

For large theaters where speaker count, subwoofer count and system architecture extend beyond conventional surround processors, the Altitude32 provides considerably greater freedom to design the theater around the room rather than around the limitations of the electronics.

Best suited for: large reference theaters, complex multi-subwoofer systems, extensive immersive layouts and systems requiring advanced routing or active loudspeaker configurations.

Altitude48ext

For the most ambitious private cinemas, the Altitude48ext expands the Altitude architecture even further.

The system enables up to 48 individually decoded outputs and as many as 64 processing outputs, allowing extraordinary speaker layouts, extensive bass management, multi-amplification and active loudspeaker systems. It can support configurations approaching the scale and complexity of professional cinema installations while retaining Trinnov’s Optimizer and immersive audio architecture.

Best suited for: statement theaters, extremely high channel-count systems, large bass arrays and private cinemas approaching professional theatrical scale.

Trinnov Amplification

Amplitude16

The Amplitude16 is a compact, high-output 16-channel power amplifier engineered specifically to complement Trinnov processors.

Each channel is rated at 200 watts into 8 ohms or 400 watts into 4 ohms, with channels capable of being bridged for substantially greater output. An optional Dante input board allows as many as 16 channels of network audio to be sent directly from compatible Trinnov processors.

When paired with the AltitudeCI, the Amplitude16 can create an exceptionally streamlined digital architecture in which audio travels from processor to amplifier over the network before conversion takes place close to the loudspeakers.

Best suited for: high-channel-count theaters where performance, rack efficiency and system integration are equally important.

Choosing the Right Trinnov System

There is no single ideal Trinnov configuration.

The right processor, channel count and amplification depend on the loudspeaker layout, number and placement of subwoofers, room dimensions, desired immersive format, amplifier requirements and whether the system will use analog, digital or networked audio distribution.

That flexibility is one of the primary reasons we chose to represent Trinnov at Reference Analog.
